Buying & Selling Advice

Its simple. Once you have seen the item on AtoZmag.co.uk that you want to purchase.

• Contact the seller either via Phone, Email or Safe Number.
• Arrange an appointment.
• Make payment on collection.
• Before parting with cash, please check the item before payment is made, as you have no legal comeback if it turns out to be faulty.
• If the item is under warranty, make sure you take the receipt off the seller.

Contact Information:         Remember to keep the contact information from buyers or sellers. If you cant make the appointment for whatever reason, notify them.

Making Cash Payments:  Its so simple to pay cash on collection, for items that are of a small value. Remember not to take more cash than you need.

Making Cheque Payments:         Sellers please wait for Cheque to clear before parting with goods

Beware of Scammers. All Buyers & Sellers Please Note:   If someone contacts you claiming to be from AtoZmag and asks you to transfer money for an item for sale the email will be fraudulent. Do NOT follow any of the instructions in the email. AtoZmag does NOT arrange any payments or recommend buyers to send cash payments, deposit money into the sellers account, send cheques via post, make payments via third parties; western union, escrow. Please follow the buying & selling advice only. Obviously if the seller doesnt want to meet you, something is wrong. You can report scams to us by clicking the report advert on the bottom of the advert and we will remove the advertisement if need be.

Buying Vehicles:    We advise all buyers to:

• Check the original registration document; V5 Log Book. A photo copy is not accepted, which is risky.
• Check the chassis number & engine number matches the registration document; V5 Log Book
• Check that the seller is the person that is on the registration document, V5 Log Book
• Get a Vehicle History Check before parting with cash. The vehicle history check will provide buyers the following information:

Finance:                    If the vehicle has any outstanding finance and if its still legally owned by the finance company. You can still come with an agreement with the finance company and end up owning the vehicle if it is still on finance.

Stolen:                       Vehicles taken without the owners permission is listed on the Police National Computer. The vehicle history check will find out if the vehicle is stolen and can save you thousands of pounds.

Write off:                   The vehicle history check will tell you if the vehicle has been a Write off by the insurance company and what category it falls under.

Scrapped:    The Vehicle check will tell you if Dvla has recorded the vehicle as Scrapped.

Renting a Property:           Once you have found a property that you would like to rent. Contact the agent or landlord who is marketing the property and arrange a viewing. If you like the property the agent or landlord will ask you to pay a reservation fee to hold the property (get a receipt) and ask what other charges there would be. Before signing up a contract, please read it carefully including the small print.

Letting a Property:             Agents and landlords would do a thorough check to find a good tenant. The check would be on each applicants credit status, income, employment and previous history as a tenant. They will also check each tenants ID too.

Buying a Property:                        We know buying a property is a big step which involves a long term financial commitment. Work out what you can afford and your outgoings.

Selling a Property Privately:        You will have to do the following:

• Set the Price of your Property. This can be done by calling a few estate agents and researching your local area.
• Organise Home information Pack.
• Market the property on AtoZmag.co.uk
• Arrange viewings when a potential buyer contacts you.
• Negotiate the offers
• Progress the sale through Solicitors and Conveyancers.

What is a Safe Call Number:        When advertising. The seller has a choice to display either there contact telephone number, email address or a safe call number (070). The safe call number is charged to the caller. Calls cost 0.50pence per minute from a BT landline. Mobile and other providers charges may vary'.

Listing approvals:              Most advertisements need to be approved by ourselves. Once approved, the advertisement will be listed on AtoZmag.co.uk with in 24hrs and the number of days will commence from date of approval. You can check the approval status, by clicking my account, view your ads.

Stolen Items:           If you believe that the item you have purchased is stolen or that an item stolen from you has appeared on AtoZmag.co.uk. Please contact your local Police station who will investigate

Searching on AtoZmag

Search on AtoZmag:         Its really easy to search on AtoZmag. All our categories are listed on the left hand side. If you are looking for a Car; Click on Motoring on the left hand side, click on Cars & you will see all the Cars listed on AtoZmag. Under Make & Model you can search for a particular model you are looking for; such as MAKE: Ford. MODEL: Fiesta.

Search on Business Directory:  On the Business Directory you can find all you local businesses such as; Web Designers, Security Services, Plumbers, Electricians, House Removals, Builders, Accountants and other traders on our site.

Search on Dating Zone & Adult Services:       Dating Zone is a great way to meet new people, make new friends, date and search for the love of your life. Its free to join and easy to create your profile. You must be over 18 to access this site and confirm that you are over 18 before you can find some one special. Mobile and other providers charges may vary.

Registering and Logging in

Registering:             To enjoy the full benefits of AtoZmag you must register with us. We have made the registration process simple. Registration is totally free and confidential. Click on the register tab on the top of the page and input your details:

Choose a sign in name & password:

Sign in:                      To Sign in. Click on the Sign in button which is on the top right hand side. Input your user name, password and the code, then click continue.

Forgotten your Sign in Details:  No need to worry! Click on Sign in, which is on top of the page. Click on Forgot your password. Input your email address. Your username and password will be emailed to you.

Placing Adverts & Deleting Adverts

Placing Adverts:     We have made advertising really easy. Firstly, you will have to be a registered user.

• Click on place an ad which is on top of the page and then follow the instructions
• Select Category from the drop down box
• Select an advert package
• Type in Details for your advert & Upload Photos
• Input your contact details on how you would like to be contacted
• Preview Advert (Double check your advert as you will not be able to edit it once submitted).
• Accept Terms & Conditions
• Make payment for advert via PayPal. PayPal is the worlds safest online payment method.
• As soon as we approve the advert. Approval is done within 24hrs. The advertisement will be listed on www.atozmag.co.uk and the number of days will commence from date of approval

To delete your advert:

• Click on My Account which is on top of the page
• Click on View your ads in My adverts
• Then choose the advert you would like to delete and click delete
• Your advert is deleted
